The Collegiate Peaks Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its first member meeting of 2017 in the front room of The Boathouse Cantina, located at 228 North F Street, Salida on Wednesday, January 11th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The meeting is open to all Chapter members and the public is encouraged to attend as well. Social hour starts at 6:00 p.m. providing an opportunity for everyone, whether coming from home, work or school, to purchase food and all types of drink.

This month’s program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Jeff Spohn, Colorado Parks and Wildlife Aquatic Biologist for the upper South Platte River region, will present a program on the Eleven Mile Canyon fishery. Attendees will learn about current conditions of this unique stream and what the future holds for the populations of large trout.

Non-member attendees will have an opportunity to win a nice door prize with a continuation of our fishing-related guest quiz. Whether you’re an experienced angler, a long-time member, a new member just beginning to fish or a guest attending for the first time and want to learn more about trout, habitat, and opportunities join CPC at this meeting.
