Following the fly casting clinic we helped with at the Crest Academy, today five chapter members taught the same students how to tie flies. We had a total of 28 students, and thankfully they came in two separate groups — so we had enough vises and tools for everyone. With five volunteers we were able to offer plenty of help. The students tied the patterns that were picked out by instructors, from wooly buggers to zebra midges and some foam creations. A fun time was had — and quite many of the flies will catch fish!
